Bioturn
Η λειτουργία του BioTurn βασίζεται στη μέθοδο της προσκολλημένης βιομάζας. Πρόκειται για μια αερόβια επεξεργασία κατά την οποία η μεταφορά του απαιτούμενου οξυγόνου στα προς επεξεργασία απόβλητα γίνεται με φυσικό, μη βεβιασμένο τρόπο σε περιοδική βάση.

SEWAGE TREATMENT

The sewage liquids are entering into a cement septic tank. If one does not exist, it may be constructed. The tank is divided into four equal sections and the sewage is flowing from the one section to the other by gravity. The sections permit the separation of the solids. The last section is used also to cover extreme needs in the peak hours.

The decomposition starts in an anaerobic environment. A sewage pump, pumps the sewage liquids, from the last section to the BIO-ROTOR. The tank must be of a total capacity of 500-650 lit/person. In case there is no space or possibility to build up a sewage tank, according to the above, an existing tank can also be used. However in this case, special care has to be taken in the size, the pumping system and the way of pumping. The BIO-ROTOR is actually a tank equipped with “bio-rings”. The half of the rotating drum is inserted into the tank of the BIO-ROTOR.

The size of the BIO-ROTOR is analogical to the capacity of the main tank, the capacity of the sewage to be treated and the way of sewage pumping. The drum, by its rotation, brings in contact the bacteria, which are created inside the bio-rings of the drum, with the free air, and it is generated a high grade oxidation of the organic filth. In this stage, the nitrification is also obtained. The special design of the BIO-ROTOR minimizes any possibility, any parts of it, to work under anaerobic environment.

After the BIO-ROTOR, there is an after-sediment tank, which collects the sediment which periodically re-enters the septic tank. This process has also, as a result, an denitrification effect. 

The overflow of this tank is the treated sewage water, ready to be either entered in a city sewage network, or to be used for irrigation, in the later case, it has to be purified from the bacteria, either by chlorination or radiation.

USAGE OF BIO-ROTOR “Bio-Turn”

BIO-ROTOR maybe successfully work to treat, in an aerobic environment, sewages and wastes in:

  • Domestic wastes (schools, hospitals, big buildings, small villages, hotels, housing blocks, resorts, villas, gas stations, parking’s etc.)
  • Waste water in car washing stations
  • Refinery wastes, industrial wastes, organics production factories wastes etc.
  • Agricultural products process factories wastes, food industry wastes.

By order, may be produced BIO-ROTORS for capacity to serve up to 5000 persons. The above sizes are based in the average European standards (150 lit/person of wastes with a load of 60gr B.O.D/day
For wastes, created in gas stations, sizes are measured in the average supply of 5m3/day and with load based on measurements of European standards.
For stations which will serve restaurants, the size is measured by considering the quantity of the water consumed daily.
